The oil and gas giant Which owns the Firestone Connected to a house Burst, Anadarko Petroleum, is facing at least two Suits over the incident
. An investor named Robert Edgar sued Anadarko, previously this month, alleging the company Made statements about safety protocols and its upkeep for molds such as the one. In the days after state authorities linked the well to Anadarko and the explosion shut down 000 wells in northeastern Colorado in reaction, the Corporation’s share price plunged by over 10 percent, based on Edgar’s lawsuit. He’s seeking class action status for the lawsuit which, if accepted, could pull a number of the investors of Anadarko to the case.
Edgar’s lawsuit is filed in Texas. The Apr 17 burst on Twilight Avenue in Firestone injured Martinez’s wife and killed Mark Martinez and Joey Irwin. State officials have concluded that the burst was caused by gas leaking from on a flowline extending from among the wells of Anadarko. In his suit, Edgar alleges that representations were made by Anadarko in documents to investors. Another lawsuit, filed Karla Baum and by Firestone couple Jeffrey, alleges that Noble Energy Anadarko and the programmers of the subdivision were negligent in permitting the flowline to leak gas. The Baums, who also live on Twilight Avenue and say they witnessed the explosion, are seeking monetary damages.
